Amber Cooley joined AT-RISK International with over eighteen years of strategic marketing, business development, and project management experience. She is an experienced marketer of global businesses and brands with a background in private start-ups and public firms. She has a proven track record in building brand strategies, analyzing program performance, developing integrated marketing campaigns, and increasing productivity through technology and collaboration.
Ms. Cooley has spent more than 10 years in the security consulting and investigation industry leading marketing and communications. In her current role, she is responsible for the marketing strategy of the firm defining measurable projects and initiatives to drive growth and profitability globally. Ms. Cooley plans, organizes, develops, and launches cross-region and cross-service initiatives in the areas of corporate branding, PR/media relations, social media and advertising, website, communications, thought leadership, and large-scale event participation.
In a previous position, Ms. Cooley led marketing and communications efforts for GardaWorld (formerly Vance International, Inc.), a global investigation and security consulting firm. In this capacity, she developed integrated marketing plans, positioned services and solutions, targeted key industry publications, and executed events to enhance the company’s position as a thought leader within the industry. Ms. Cooley was also responsible for managing the customer database, post-project analysis, and maintaining a consistent corporate image and overall brand awareness. She helped to lead a global rebranding strategy for the firm, including integration of over five acquisitions.
Ms. Cooley also served as a consultant to Microsoft in which she developed and executed program designs, project frameworks, communications, data analysis, and reporting for global clients. Prior to this role, she directed brand development efforts and marketing plans for Atlanta-based Coldwell Banker NRT Development Advisors, the Southeast leader in real-estate consulting and sales. Within this role, Ms. Cooley’s primary responsibility was interfacing with key stakeholders, project partners, and internal teams, as well as establishing unique sales-driven opportunities, managing funding for marketing programs, tracking measurable campaign results, and developing and sustaining brand standards. One of Ms. Cooley’s achievements during her tenure with the company was the creation of consistent sales and marketing messaging used on all company materials and sales presentations. The messaging unified the company division and provided a platform for service offerings within the market.
Additionally, Ms. Cooley managed communications, industry outreach programs, market research, as well as analyst and business solution presentations to Fortune 500 clients while working for technology providers epipeline, inc. and iXL. In these positions, she worked closely with practice group leads and strategic partners on presentation creation, sales cycle reporting, and tool development. In addition, she assisted with recruiting and community relations activities.
Ms. Cooley attended Indiana University and received a degree in Communications and Marketing as well as a minor in English.
