Security Consultant

Location: Los Angeles, California
Reports to: Executive Director of Operations

Description

Under direction and in accordance with defined policies and procedures, the Security Consultant provides oversight, support and response to hostile terminations, internal thefts and regional security concerns on behalf of a client with headquarters in Los Angeles, California.

Duties
  • Support client needs
  • Execute risk assessments and provide solutions to physical security measures
  • Identify security concerns to offer possible resolutions
  • Provide investigation, protection and consulting support
  • Assist with the international screening process for new hires
  • Collect data to aid background investigation findings
  • Support executive protection missions by conducting pre-advance work to facilitate the arrival of key personnel
  • Assist with special events
  • Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
  • Investigation
    • Perform investigation assignments as required
    • Ensure all billing and payroll for investigation assignments is completed and delivered to headquarters for processing
  • Protection
    • Conduct protection assignments as required
    • Oversee all protection operations for specific division in the region
    • Provide for divisional staffing requests of all operations
    • Ensure all billing and payroll for protection details is completed properly
    • Interact with client as necessary to ensure satisfaction
  • Consulting
    • Conduct risk assessments and understand various methodologies based on client’s requests
    • Consult with client on technical, administrative and operational requirements for offices within the region
    • Oversee all consulting programs
  • General
    • Write detailed, error-free reports to document activities for presentation to the client
    • Interact with clients to ensure their satisfaction and maintain their loyalty
    • Attend required training and retraining programs
    • Maintain necessary licenses
    • Complete all assigned administrative duties on a timely basis
    • Other duties as assigned

    recommendations
  • Displays superior judgment and commitment to the highest ethical standards
  • Communicates effectively and tactfully with executive security staff and principal personnel

  • Shows an ability to guide workplace investigations, analyze facts and resolve conflicts
  • Demonstrates skills to interact effectively with executive security staff, company employees, clients, vendors, law enforcement and customers
  • Illustrates strong written and oral communication skills
  • Displays organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
Experience

Suitable candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of related experience in security services, military or law enforcement plus 4 years of experience related to position description. Preferred candidate has a CPP, CTM or CRMP certification.

General Requirements

Job may require standing, sitting and moving for extended periods of time. Exposure to extreme environmental conditions occurs occasionally. Individual will be required to travel frequently. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
