Security Operations Manager

Location: Northern Virginia
Reports to: Executive Director of Operations, HQ


The Security Operations Manager will support the Executive Director of Operations in completing operational, administrative and logistical tasks. This position may require significant administrative duties with minimal travel.

  • Conduct oversight of operational areas as requested by the Executive Director
  • Manage vendor relationships with client/vendor and company
  • Coordinate logistics associated with projects as assigned
  • Investigative
    • Oversee aspects of the investigative functions of the group
    • Direct aspects of the protective functions of the group
    • Conduct investigative and protective details as needed
  • General
    • Submit timesheets and expense reports
    • Complete all assigned administrative duties as requested
    • Oversee all aspects of client relationship regarding on-going operations
    • Perform marketing and business development outreach
    • Manage logistics in support of operations
    • Assist with the performance of training and training administration as required
Skill Set
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, coaching and supervisory skills
  • Exhibits an ability to interact effectively with executive security staff, company managers and other company employees, clients, vendors, law enforcement, executives and executive families
  • Possess and maintain active registrations in armed personal protection specialist and investigations as required by local regulations

Suitable candidate must pass pre-employment background investigation as well as possess relatable professional experience in areas such as security, law enforcement and military service, with 5+ years in the investigative and supervisory domain of security.

General Requirements

Candidate will be required to pass a fitness test. Job may entail standing, sitting and moving for extended periods of time. Exposure to extreme environmental conditions occurs occasionally. Individual may be required to travel. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
