With the proliferation of attacks on employees in the U.S. and abroad, comprehensive threat assessment programs are critical to overall corporate security and the safety of personnel worldwide.
A Fortune 30 technology firm sought to develop a unified, global threat assessment program, but wanted to know how differing risk and regulatory environments, as well as the availability of violence risk assessment tools, would impact their operation. AT-RISK was engaged for a specialized evaluation.
AT-RISK established a unique methodology for scoring approximately 20 global markets on regulatory issues pertaining to workplace violence risk and prevention. The team was also able to narrow down more than 400 violence risk assessment protocols in the literature to a shortlist, and subsequently ranked their ease of use for the company and their applicability to each of the firm’s locations.
Using the scoring approach developed by AT-RISK, as well as an implementation roadmap for the violence risk assessment tools, the firm had a clear path forward to execute their global threat assessment strategy. Our consultative approach also helped ensure that the firm was able to gain needed insights at regular intervals.
